校友简介:

Dr. Henry Xiang is a pediatric trauma researcher. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and College of Public Health. He is the Director for Center for Pediatric Trauma Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Director for International Programs and Director for Research Core at Center for Injury Research and Policy (CIRP). He served on the Board of Directors of the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR), Minority Affairs Committee of American College of Epidemiology, Healthy People 2020 Objectives Disability Working Group, a regular NIOSH Study Section Member, and NIH/NICHD Special Task Force Member. He reviewed research grants for New Zealand Health Research Council and Canadian Institutes of Health Research. He currently serves on U.S. Pediatric Trauma Society Research Committee and editorial board of several medical journals. Dr. Xiang has ongoing federal research grants since 2003 and has published more than 190 peer-reviewed journals articles, 2 book chapters, and has been invited present around the world. He won multiple local and national awards including 2016 APHA Excellence in Science Award.

向惠云博士曾就读于同济医科大学公共卫生学院获硕士学位, 1995年留学美国科罗拉多州立大学兽医与生物科学学院，师从世界著名伤害流行病学教授Dr. Lorann Stallones, 专攻伤害流行病学，于1999年获流行病学博士学位。毕业后，向惠云博士进入科罗拉多州卫生厅，任生命统计处主任多年。1996-1997年，向惠云博士任科罗拉多州立大学学生学者联谊会主席，1997荣获中国住芝加哥总领馆优秀留学生干部奖，1998年荣获科罗拉多州Larimer郡卫生与环境特出贡献奖, 1999年荣获科罗拉多州立大学杰出研究生奖, 2001-2002年参加美国西部地区健康与环境领导干部学习班。2009年荣获美国伤害与暴力研究学会突出贡献奖, 美国俄亥俄州立大学医学院儿童医院研究所2010年度“杰出科学家”和“杰出导师”奖及2014年“杰出团队奖”, 美国公共卫生学会2016年度杰出科学奖。曾任美国伤害与暴力研究学会12名常委委员之一，兼任美国伤害与暴力研究学会全国学术会议专家委员会主席, 自2003年作为项目负责人主持多项美国NIH课题，发表医学学术期刊文章190多篇, 参与编写2部论著。2017年当选为同济医学院海外校友总会主席。
