Ke-Qin Hu, MD, FAASLD is the Director of Hepatology Services and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine’s School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and completed a fellowship in Hepatology. Prof. Hu emphasizes bridging research advances with bedside patient care. Besides active involvement in clinical trials of hepatitis B and C treatment, his clinical research also focuses on natural history and outcomes of liver diseases. His basic research has focused on molecular virology and diagnosis of hepatitis B and C virus infection and chemoprevention of liver cancer. Dr. Hu has co-authored more than 100 research papers, book chapters, and review articles, including publications in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of theUSA, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Hepatology. Prof. Hu serves to editorial boards for several medical journals. Prof. Hu is also dedicated to TJMCOAA, being a member of its board of directors and served 2011 TJMCOAA presidency. He also seats on advisory board for several US health promotion organizations.

胡克勤教授毕业于武汉同济学院医疗系。1988年赴美国科罗拉多大学从事病毒性肝炎的博士后研究。完成内科住院医生培训并获得美国内科专家文凭后，胡教授在南加州大学完成肝病专科培训。现任尔湾加州大学(UCI)医学中心，肝病服务中心主任,内科教授。自2000年起，胡教授兼任华中科技大学同济医学院客座教授。2014年被美国肝病协会首批授予该协会资深特别会员（FAASLD）。胡教授长期从事肝病的临床诊断与治疗，临床研究及教学，包括病毒性肝炎,及肝癌分子病毒学及诊断，自然病程及预后的临床研究，新药的临床试验，及肝癌的化学预防的实验研究。他的临床研究着眼于肝病的自然史，预后及人种之间的差异，以及B型和C型病毒性肝炎在亚裔的发病情况以及如何帮助亚裔病患及时就医。胡教授亦从事B型和C型病毒性肝炎,及肝癌自然病程及预后的临床研究，以及新药的临床试验。他曾发表约150篇临床及基础医学论文，包括发表于美国科学院院报(PNAS)，临床研究杂志(JCI)，等著名杂志,五十多篇综述及中英文肝病教科书的章节,和一百多篇在学术会议交流并发表的论文摘要。胡教授受邀担任数种国际医学杂志的编委及副编辑，他也曾为数种英文医学杂志担任特邀编辑，出版肝病专集。胡克勤教授为美国肝病研究会(AASLD)会员，曾任该会教育委员会委员，及教育项目评估委员会委员。他亦担任美国肝病基金会洛杉矶分会特聘的专家顾问,及美中医学交流学会副主席。胡教授热心参与同济医学院海外校友总会的工作，为该会董事会成员，并担任该会2011年主席。
